Hostal Sant Pau - Barcelona

Everyone was helpful as well as owner.

The hotel was a wonderful base for enjoying a calm area, close enough to two metro stations near line L1 and L5, the main tourist attractions around the Gothic area, and buses and metro stations. The rooms were well air-conditioned, neat, came with beverages, toiletries provided, for example. The location was excellent, not very far from Phenomena

The rooms are clear, tidy air conditioned, but very small.The hostel locates near a metro station (Dos de maig hospital st. Pau) not too far from the city centre.

The staff does not really speak english so we made ourselves understood hard. Thy asked for the fee before leaving. When we arrived (12:15, check in time from 12:00) our room was not ready, we had to wait 30 minutes to get ready. We were told that usually guests arrived later in the afternoon and were kindly asked to come back later. Mornings are very noisy. We were made aware of all the motors, cars passsing by on the street and there is a pub next to the hostal with evening parties.

Near to metro (subway) station. Rooms are value for the money (all rooms in Barcelona are quite expensive)

Lots of noise in the morning by the hostel staff!! The hostel staff asked us to pay in the night before we check out in a strange manner... Besides these issues we had a good stay...

Compact king room and the bed was exceptionally comfortable!

Friendly place and in a very quiet area. Free Wi-fi access and very close to Metro Station at hospital Sant-Pau. Room was decent.

I was frustrated with the room placement. The Double Room was right next to the reception, and I could hear every tourist coming and going. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep, especially after midnight when people were still arriving. The lack of separation really ruined my experience.

The hostal is a great distance from La Sagrada Familia without being in the middle of the tourist area, very quiet neighborhood. The receptionist was very nice. We had a little terrace and the room was plain but adequate.

The room, though non-smoking, smelled badly of smoke. The room was very small and basic, the shower was a bit annoying as it was too small. Notice that the hotel will charge your credit card for the first night and if you want that refunded you actually have to tell them at the time of booking. They refused to refund ours as we didn't inform them beforehand.

It's a good value with a convenient location near a Metro stop. Some on the staff can speak English which I found very helpful.

I was in a ground floor room & some other guests were rather loud when coming & going.

Convenient Location with Charming Atmosphere

My single room offered easy access to the reception and amenities. The communal areas exuded a warm charm, perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring.

The hostal is very quiet and clean. Very nice and helpful stuff. Would recommend this hostal to anyone who needs a good rest at night!

Excellent location, near to metro, quiet (!), staff very friendly and helpful, especially Sylvia! Nice park nearby, a good value for money alltogether!

Friendly staff, convenient location, who helped me navigate the city with limited communication, and a clean room with excellent amenities like a Nespresso machine and free tea/coffee.
